De band wordt ontdekt door Chris Darrow van de psychedelische folkband Kaleidoscope, die hun debuutalbum produceert en muzikanten meebrengt als David Lindley, Bernie Leadon, John Ware en John London \u2013 de laatste drie uit Linda Ronstadts begeleidingsband. Het enige album van Maxfield Parrish, <em>It&#8217;s A Cinch To Give Legs To Old Hard-boiled Eggs<\/em>, bevat <!--more-->gruizig klinkende, psychedelische countryrock met een folky inslag. Opgenomen in 1969 etaleert Maxfield Parrish in acht songs \u2013 afsluiter &#8216;The Widow (Lennie Porrue)&#8217; een <em>murder song<\/em> uitgesmeerd over ruim acht minuten \u2013 zijn opmerkelijk western-gothic-sound. Maar op onverklaarbare wijze verschijnt <em>It&#8217;s A Cinch To Give Legs To Old Hard-boiled Eggs<\/em> pas in 1972 en dan ook nog op een minuscuul label.
