De tweede plaat <em>High Hat<\/em> werd destijds geproduceerd door Steve Earle en kwam uit op diens label E-Squared. Daarna gaf de band rond Kenny Roby er de brui aan. Na 18 jaar is Six String Drag terug met <strong>Roots Rock \u2019N\u2019 Roll<\/strong> (The Royal Potato Family\/Bertus), een album dat precies biedt wat de titel belooft. Wat daarbij opvalt is dat de focus ligt op de jaren vijftig en <!--more-->zestig. De thematiek van <em>Drive Around Town<\/em> is ook al zo oud als de rock-\u2019n-roll zelf is. Roby en bassist Rob Keller zingen er bij als The Everly Brothers. Verder bestaat de band\u00a0uit Roy Duffey (drums) en gitarist Scotty Miller. Deze Scott is overigens niet de Scott Miller die ook op E-Squared actief was met The V-Roys en later solo ging. Op <em>OOOEEOOOEEOOO<\/em> zijn blazers en een pianist te gast. De opgewekte rockabilly van <em>Happier Times<\/em> heeft wat van Los Lobos, terwijl <em>Choppin\u2019 Back<\/em> klinkt als Elvis Costello in New Orleans. Roby zingt zuiver en met soul. Dit is een goede plaat waaraan je kunt horen dat deze mannen met plezier weer samenwerken.
