Op <strong>Who Is The Sender?<\/strong> (Dead Oceans\/Konkurrent) staat de fotograaf links. Verder zijn er vooral veel overeenkomsten. Beide hoezen zijn uitgevoerd in bruin duotone bijvoorbeeld. Ook in de muziek is veel bij hetzelfde gebleven. Dat zat er natuurlijk in. Fay maakte in 2012 na veertig jaar een comeback en zelfs toen was sprake van een duidelijk vervolg op het voorafgaande. De maatschappijkritiek. De melancholie. Het was<!--more--> er nog allemaal. Op <em>Who Is The Sender?<\/em> is het niet anders. Waren we met zijn vorige plaat heel blij dat hij terug was, met zijn nieuwste weet Fay minder te overtuigen. Het herfstige geluidsdecor weet nauwelijks rillingen op te wekken. De boodschap komt niet over. \u2018We\u2019re gonna change this world\u2019, horen we op <em>Order Of The Day<\/em>. Het is niet meer dan een mededeling. Op <em>War Machine<\/em> blijft Fay de woorden \u2018it\u2019s all so deep\u2019 herhalen, maar daarmee bereikt hij het tegenovergestelde.
