Ze zingt zuiver en geeft de noten volop lucht. Die worden opgepikt door steelgitaar of cello die ze optillen, zodat ze even in de lucht blijven hangen. Alsof de woorden in een ragfijn web zijn gevangen. De muziek ademt. Nergens kiezen Rae en<!--more--> haar begeleiders voor de aanval. Ze gaan voor subtiliteit. De bijna gereserveerde manier van musiceren blijkt na verloop van tijd helemaal niet zo vrijblijvend.
