Daar nam ze wederom onder productionele leiding van Brain Whelan <strong>Breaking The Blues<\/strong> (Bird On A Lyre Records) op. Dat is een plaat waarop ze ondanks de ellende als gevolg van de ziekte van Lyme de positieve kanten belicht. Daarvoor kruipt ze <em>Under My Skin<\/em>. Op <em>Falling For The Moment<\/em> komen heel voorzichtig trompetjes om de hoek kijken. Powerpop en folkrock gaan naadloos in elkaar over. De songtitels <em>Exploding Roses<\/em> en<!--more--> <em>Silver Linings<\/em> beschrijven eigenlijk heel aardig de sound van Blaschke. In dat liedje over rozen zit een fraai pianohuppeltje en dan moet je zomaar aan popartiesten als Elvis Costello of Abba denken. Blaschke zingt een beetje neusverkouden. Vooral op afsluiter <em>Be The Love I Need<\/em> is dat het geval.
