\"\"Het jaar is bijna voorbij. Een jaar waarin veel spannende verkiezingen en volksraadplegingen hebben plaatsgevonden. Ook de verkiezing van de mooiste americana-albums van 2016 was spannend. Tot op het laatst bleef onduidelijk wie er op de eerste plaats zou staan: er vond een echte tweestrijd plaats. \u00a0Jullie stuurden 123 lijsten in (weer meer dan vorig jaar) waarbij 80 verschillende platen de eerste plaats bezetten. \u00c9\u00e9n album, van Richmond Fontaine, stond nergens eerste, maar haalde toch\u00a0wel makkelijk de top-15. Uiteindelijk ontstond onderstaande mooie lijst van 15 albums. Daarin 4 groepen, 8 mannelijke artiesten en 3 vrouwelijke.
