Niet schrikken, jazzy countryblues is een adequatere omschrijving. De Canadese zanger\/gitarist speelt op diverse gitaren (waaronder een twaalfsnarige), mondharmonica en een fretless gourd banjo. Na de funky soul van <em>Skeletons<\/em>\u00a0(Stevie Wonder) volgen wederom twee stukken countryblues. Op <em>Pharaoh<\/em> is Harrison Kennedy gastvocalist, een rol die op E<em>verybody Ought To Treat A Stranger Right<\/em> wordt vervuld door <!--more-->Eric Bibb. Browne heeft zelf een nogal droge stem. Mede daardoor heeft zijn muziek stilistisch &#8211; en ook melodieus trouwens &#8211; wel wat weg van Ted Hawkins. Op het door Al Green geschreven <em>Here I Am (Come And Take Me)<\/em> schiet zijn stem een beetje de hoogte in. Ook dat kon Hawkins goed.
