Decennia geleden speelde hij bas in een akoestisch trio en verzorgde het voorprogramma voor mensen als Dave Van Ronk, Livingstone Taylor, Doc Watson en Jonathan Edwards. Pas veel later begon hij zelf ook liedjes te schrijven. Jono Manson produceerde het album, waarop hij ook elektrische gitaar speelt. Verder is Jon Graboff present op allerhande snarenspul, terwijl de toetsen (waaronder accordeon op het cajunachtige <em>Bag O\u2019 Bones<\/em>) worden beroerd door Radoslav<!--more--> Lorkovic. <em>So It Goes<\/em> heeft een jazzy laagje. Naast de eigen nummers zijn er covers van Greg Trooper (<em>They Call Me Hank<\/em>) en als cover <em>Snowing On Raton<\/em> van Townes Van Zandt.
