Dat was het leven volgens de Britse pubrockers. Voor <strong>The United State<\/strong> (Singular Recordings) schreef de Amerikaan <a href=\"https:\/\/justinwellsmusic.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Justin Wells<\/a> ook liedjes die beginnen bij de geboorte en eindigen bij de dood. Het fatalisme van The Godfathers is hem vreemd, toch geeft ook hij zich in zekere zin over aan de onvermijdelijke loop der dingen. En daarbij heeft hij een positieve boodschap, want hij legt de nadruk op de gevoelens die in elk mensenleven langskomen, zoals vreugde, verdriet, opwinding, pijn, hoop, angst. Zoveel<!--more--> verschillen we dus niet van elkaar. <em>No Time For A Broken Heart<\/em> pakt de energie van The Band. Wat een geweldige stem heeft die Wells trouwens. <em>After The Fall<\/em> heeft wel wat van Ronnie Hawkins en <em>It\u2019ll All Work Out<\/em> is met die heerlijke slidegitaar funky als Little Feat, waarna zijn begeleiders op <em>Temporary Blue<\/em> de beat van Waylon Jennings te pakken hebben.
