Daar bevindt zich Pacific Range, in de omgeving van pak &#8216;m beet Gospelbeach, Cordovas, Silver Synthetic en The Pink Stones. Luie, lome, psychedelische countryrock met de blik op de Pacific Ocean. Dat geldt dus ook beslist voor Pacific Range, een hippiecountryband uit Los Angeles, Californi\u00eb, die in 2020 debuteert met de dubbelelpee <i>High Upon the Mountain. <\/i>Twaalf heerlijk uitgesponnen<!--more--> tracks, met hoofdrollen voor ingehouden, jazzy gitaarsolo\u2019s, pedalsteel en uitwaaierende orgelpartijen. De vier \u2013 Seamus Turner (zang, gitaar), Stewart Forgey (piano, orgel, gitaar), Cameron Wehrle (bas) en Nate Ward (drums) \u2013 laten zich lekker gaan \u2013 Beachwood Spark Brent Rademaker kijkt over hun schouder mee \u2013 in ronduit voortreffelijke laidback countrysongs als <em>High Upon the Mountain<\/em>, <em>Guiding the Mast<\/em>, <em>Boulevard Indigo<\/em> en <em>Nothing Else More<\/em>. Net als The Grateful Dead zijn The Byrds nooit ver weg, maar ook komen The Allman Brothers om de hoek kijken, zeker als gitarist Duane Betts (zoon van) een partijtje meeblaast op <em>Comin\u2019 After You<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><i>High Upon the Mountain <\/i>is al met al een geweldig soort van klassiek seventies rockalbum.
