Daar streek ze neer in een boerderij waar ze inspiratie opdeed voor de vijftien nummers op <strong>Bristol County Tides<\/strong> (eigen beheer). Haar wat hese stem heeft soms wat van Marshall Chapman en dat is een fijne constatering. De liedjes hebben een bite; Keating zou ook heel goed frontvrouw van een newwaveband kunnen zijn. <em>Third Street<\/em> heeft er de benodigde spanning voor. <em>Kindred Spirit<\/em> is een langzame soulsong die begint als iets van J.J. Cale. Op Song For A Friend steekt ze <!--more-->iemand in deze donkere tijden een hart onder de riem. Op <em>Hank\u2019s Saloon<\/em> stort ze zich vol in het nachtleven. Nee, ze zoekt geen moeilijkheden, ze wil gewoon vertier. Een saloonpiano en accordeon bieden haar houvast. Gitarist Teddy Kumpel (tevens bas, banjo, mandoline en percussie) produceerde <em>Bristol County Tides<\/em>, waaraan verder nog een flink aantal musici meewerkten.
