Leuke cd uit 1995 op Rattlesnake Records met wrakke rockabilly. Met de elpee <strong>Floating Ghost Hotel<\/strong> (Hi-Style Records) gaat de artiest uit Chicago op dezelfde voet door. Nu als <a href=\"http:\/\/slinkmossexplosion.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Slink Moss Explosion<\/a> trouwens. <em>Honey Bee Bop<\/em> is precies wat de titel belooft. Het knettert uit de luidsprekers. Wat een heerlijk enthousiasme toch altijd bij dit soort muziek. Geen betere manier om de zorgen even te parkeren. \u2019Baby we\u2019re rockin\u2019\u2019, roept hij op <em>Pass It Around<\/em> en zo is het maar net. Met de staande bas van Jimmy Sutton, die we kennen van<!--more--> JD McPherson. Dit is een fijn plaatje voor mensen die Robert Gordon destijds te gek vonden. Of Johnny Seaton. En wat te denken van de ploegende gitaren op <em>Beware Beware<\/em>? Heerlijk. Moss heeft een liedje getiteld <em>Space Cowboy Number One<\/em> en dan moeten we hier denken aan Garrett T. Capps of The Legendary Stardust Cowboy. Dit met sitar uitgevoerde stukje muziek is al net zo fijn. Dit is een plaatje voor een echte <em>Kool Kat<\/em>, zoveel mag wel duidelijk zijn. Op <em>Loneliness Is Searchin\u2019<\/em> gaan we van India naar Afrika en ook op <em>Magic Of The Stone<\/em> vertoeven we in de jungle van Afrika. Dus helemaal niet zo gek dat afsluiter <em>Mr. Bones<\/em> ook wat exotica \u00e0 la Martin Denny\u00a0brengt. <em>Ballad X<\/em> is een geweldige instrumental. <em>Floating Ghost Motel<\/em> is veel te avontuurlijk om weg te zetten als retro.
