Wij willen voor <strong>Closer <\/strong><\/span><strong><span class=\"SpellingError SCXW111090312 BCX8\">To<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\"><strong> Home <\/strong>(eigen beheer),\u00a0het vierde album van deze band (die al ruim 20 j<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">aar bestaat), g<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">raag <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">plek inruimen<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">De 10 nummers op dit 35 minuten durende album verraden een invloed van The Band en Crazy Horse. Een <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">bepaalde mate van losheid<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">wat gruizige<!--more--> gitaren<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">een mooie toevoeging van <\/span><span class=\"SpellingError SCXW111090312 BCX8\">pedal<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\"> steel e<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">n de overtuigende zang van Adam <\/span><span class=\"SpellingError SCXW111090312 BCX8\">Toole<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\"> kenmerken het geluid van Mexico City.<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">Soms doet de stem van <\/span><span class=\"SpellingError SCXW111090312 BCX8\">Toole<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\"> denken aan die van Randy <\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\" lang=\"NL-NL\" xml:lang=\"NL-NL\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"SpellingError SCXW111090312 BCX8\">Newman<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">. Vooral de eerste helft van dit album is erg sterk. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">Het is niet moeilijk voor te stellen dat <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">nummers als <\/span><em><span class=\"SpellingError SCXW111090312 BCX8\">Broken<\/span> <span class=\"SpellingError SCXW111090312 BCX8\">Heart<\/span><\/em> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">en <em>Stepping Out <\/em><\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">op <em>Live Rust<\/em> van Neil Young hadden kunnen staan<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\">. Op de tweede helft nemen de mannen wat gas terug waardoor <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW111090312 BCX8\"><em>Closer To Home<\/em> wat aan overtuigingskracht inboet.
