Daar brak uiteindelijk de relatie. Moeilijke <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\">jaren als alleenstaande moeder volgden.<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\"> Het schrijven van liedjes hielp bij de verwerking. <\/span><strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW141318224 BCX8\">Lonesome<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\"><strong> Highway<\/strong><!--more--> (Royal Potato Family) is het tweede album van<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW141318224 BCX8\">Rainy<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW141318224 BCX8\">Eyes<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\">, Daarvoor verhuisde ze van het pittoreske <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW141318224 BCX8\">Bolinas<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\"> (net ten noorden van de Golden Gate-brug) naar Lafayette, Louisiana.<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\">Onder <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW141318224 BCX8\">productionele<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\"> leiding van veteraan Dirk Powell werden daar 11 schitterende countryfolkliedjes opgenomen. Echt, songs die <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\">van voren naar achteren en van onderen naar boven kloppen. Veelal lekker slepende midtempo nummers, waarbij ook de mooie harmonyzang van Powells dochters Stephanie en Amelia opvalt. Maar ook de inbreng van Powells fiddle is om door een ringetje te halen, zeker in combinatie met de (elektrische) gitaar van Eide zelf en de p<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141318224 BCX8\">edal steel, bespeeld door Chris Stafford (die in mei van dit jaar jammerlijk om het leven kwam bij een verkeersongeluk). Iets sneller maar zeker niet minder mooi zijn <em>Set Me Free<\/em> en het titelnummer.
