Ja en nee. <\/span><strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Viva<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Lone<\/span> <\/strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\"><strong>Justice<\/strong> (Afar\/Konkurrent)<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> is inderdaad een nieuwe plaat<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> van tegen de <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">cowpunk<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> aanleunende rootsrockband uit de jaren 80, met Maria <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">McKee<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> als stralend middelpunt<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">, maar <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">het zijn <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">oude opnames uit 1993 die opgepoetst zijn. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">De band was toen al een paar jaar uit elkaar en <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">McKee<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> was bezig met opnames van een soloplaat. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Bassist Marvin <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Etzioni<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> nodigde degenen en die bezig waren met die plaat uit voor opnames bij hem thuis<!--more-->, eigenlijk gewoon ter <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">ontspanning<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">.<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> Recentelijk vond <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Etzioni<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> die opnames weer terug<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">T<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">esamen<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> met een liveversie van een cover van <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">een nummer van George Jones (<\/span><em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Nothing<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Can<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> Stop My <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Loving<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">You<\/span><\/em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">), met cajun accordeonis<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">t<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Jo<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">-E<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">l<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Sonnier<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> vormen zij dit nieuwe album.<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Tsja, het klinkt allemaal nogal dunnetjes en je kunt je met recht afvragen wat dit nou toevoeg<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">t aan het oeuvre van de band en de afzonder<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">l<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">ijke <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">bandleden<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\">. Die cover van <\/span><em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Teenage<\/span><\/em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"><em> Kicks<\/em> van de <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW208332393 BCX8\">Undertones<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> is nogal schreeuwerig en wie zit er te wachten op nog een versie van Dolly Partons&#8217;s <em>I Will Always Love You<\/em>?<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"> Het enige wat eigenlijk echt leuk is zijn de blazers aan het einde van het laatste nummer (<em>Sister <\/em><\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW208332393 BCX8\"><em>Anne<\/em>).
