Murphy en zijn begeleiders leggen een tamelijk droog geluid neer, dat wel iets weg heeft van het werk van Boris McCutcheon. Sweet Yvette, met een cello en wat lap steel en fraaie drums, heeft een verrassende wending. <em>I met her at the caf\u00eb on 21st and 3d \/ She drank three cups of coffee but didn\u2019t say a word \/ She showed me her tattoos underneath her weddinggown \/ Then we hopped a cab and headed down to Chinatown \/ Sweet Yvette \/ When we got to her place, it felt just like a dream \/ Candle light and incense, slow dancing to Al Green \/ But much to my surprise, when I pulled her close to me \/ There was something there, where something shouldn\u2019t be<\/em>.
