In ieder geval niet sinds augustus <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">2009. Raar!<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"> Daar brengen we dan maar verandering in. Want Griffin heeft recent een nieuw album uitgebracht: <\/span><strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW123030208 BCX8\">Crown<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"> Of Roses<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"> (<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW123030208 BCX8\">PGM\/<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW123030208 BCX8\">Thirty<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW123030208 BCX8\">Tigers<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">)<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">Op de hoes zie je een foto van haar <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">eerder dit jaar overleden <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">moeder op dier huwelijksdag.<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">Het nummer<em> Way Up In The <\/em><\/span><em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW123030208 BCX8\">Sky<\/span><\/em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"> gaat<!--more--> ook over haar<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"> relatie met haar moeder<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"> en<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">\u00a0<em>Born In A Cage<\/em><\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"> misschien ook<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">.<\/span> De nu 61-jarige <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">Griffin kreeg in 2016 te maken met borstkanker, waarvan ze genas. Door de bestraling verloor ze wel veel van haar stem, maar dat is<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">, hoewel een aantal liedjes hier zacht gezongen worden, toch goeddeels <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">weer hersteld, zo is <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">b.v. te h<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">oren op <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\"><em>Back At The Start <\/em>en het heerlijke <\/span><em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW123030208 BCX8\">I Know A Way.<\/span><\/em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">\u00a0Op <em>Long Time<\/em> wordt ze vocaal ondersteund door haar ex Robert Plant<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123030208 BCX8\">. Het mooie gitaarspel op dit album is, zoals ook op eerder plaatwerk, van\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW123030208 BCX8\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> David Pulkingham. Met de prachtige, ingetogen afsluiter A Word, wordt duidelijk dat Griffin weer een klasseplaat heeft afgeleverd.
