Zalige plaat namelijk. Eerst even over die Slow Motion Cowboys. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Is dat wel een band? Het lijkt er niet op. Het enige bekende vaste lid is ene Pete Fields<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\"> (voorheen Pete <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Frauenfelder<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">)<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">, die <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">rond 2000<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\"> in het gebied <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">rond San Francisco begon op te treden als Slow Motion Cowboys. Het lijkt erop dat Fields per project nieuwe muzikanten zoekt om zijn<!--more--> liedjes vorm te <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">geven. Inmiddels is Fields verhuist naar New Orleans<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">. Op <em>Wolf Of St Elmo<\/em> hoor je <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">alternatieve country waar de geest van The Band en Gram Parsons doorheen zweeft, met een randje psychedelica. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Goed toegankelijk, maar niet glad. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Een lekker rollend orgel, bespeeld door Paul <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Defiglia<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\"> (<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Avett<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Brothers<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Langhorne<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\"> Slim), sfe<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">ervolle <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">pedal<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\"> steel<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">, en heerlijk gitaarspel wat soms doet denken aan <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Khruangbin<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\"> (vooral in <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">het fenomenale <\/span><em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">Damned<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">If<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW197165416 BCX8\">You<\/span><\/em><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\"><em> Do<\/em>). <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW197165416 BCX8\">De Slow Motion Cowboys toeren binnenkort door het VK; een last minute oversteek naar onze contreien zal er wel niet inzitten.
