Het is behoorlijk laidback <em>In This Wild Country<\/em>. De Californische countryrock laaft zich aan de zon. De samenzang strekt zich uit langs glooiende hellingen terwijl de maan omhoog klimt (<em>Midnight Moon<\/em>). Jimenez zat achter het drumstel bij Gospelbeach, waar hij ook liedjes aandroeg. Op het titelnummer klinkt <em>Moondance<\/em> op de radio, terwijl de singer-songwriter in de zon langs de<!--more--> gazons holt. Af en toe een mondharmonica. koortjes, akoestische gitaren, er wordt vooral veel omgekeken naar de jaren 70.
