Het is nu dertien jaar later en dat betekent dus dat hij inmiddels al 58 jaar de podia in vuur en vlam zet met zijn <em>Honky-Tonk Hellfire<\/em>. Op de <em>Highway To Heaven<\/em> heeft hij heel wat collega\u2019s verloren, dus misschien is het helemaal niet zo gek dat het titelnummer van <strong>Cat Out Of The Bag<\/strong> (The Last Music Company) juist een loflied op het leven is. Het album is opgedragen aan Austin De Lone. Kirchen schreef meerdere liedjes met De Lone met wie hij door de jaren heen vaak samenwerkte en die <!--more-->voordat <em>Cat Out Of The Bag<\/em> gereed was overleed. Net als Joe New, die <em>Hamburger Man<\/em> schreef. En het nummer <em>Highway To Heaven<\/em> gaat over collega Jerry Douthet die ook de grote oversteek maakte. Kirchen, begin jaren 70 mede-oprichter van Commander Cody and Hit Lost Planet Airmen, bewijst op deze elf liedjes dat hij nog springlevend en vol energie is. Hij heeft er nog altijd zin in.
