Maar als Endgames wisten ze niet door te breken en trokken ze de stekker eruit. Om in 2011<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>weer in te pluggen. Met een nieuwe bandnaam en de plaat <em>The Year We Didn\u2019t Have<\/em>, die nu een vervolg krijgt met <strong>In This Sleeping City<\/strong> (eigen beheer).\u00a0Dat nieuwe album begint sterk met <em>Twisted Time Travelers<\/em>, dat alles biedt wat je van powerpop mag verwachten. De band lijkt op die opener vooral be\u00efnvloed door het Schotse Teenage Fanclub; een ander liedje draagt de titel <em>We Love You, Glasgow<\/em>. Teenage <!--more-->Fanclub heeft overigens ook net een nieuw album uitgebracht. In de indierock van The Goodbye Radio is af en toe ook ruimte voor blazers, zoals in het puntige <em>Words I\u2019ve Got<\/em>.
